Refund Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
MailCrypted is a digital subscription service. Access to paid features begins immediately after purchase and consumes platform resources from the moment your subscription is active. For that reason:
All payments made to MailCrypted are final and non-refundable.
This includes monthly and annual subscription fees, contact credit top-ups, add-ons and any renewal charges — whether or not the features have been used during the billing cycle.
1. What "non-refundable" means
- No refunds for partially used subscription periods.
- No refunds for unused tester-contact credits — credits do not accumulate and are forfeited at the end of each 30-day billing cycle.
- No refunds if you forget to cancel, change your mind, no longer need the Service, or receive fewer replies than expected from testers.
- No refunds if your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy.
- Downgrading to a lower plan does not entitle you to a refund of the difference for the current cycle; the change applies at the next renewal.
2. How to stop future charges
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future automatic renewals; you retain access to paid features until the end of the current paid period.
3. Limited exceptions we will consider
We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund in the following limited cases:
- Duplicate charge. Two identical charges for the same period due to a technical error on our side.
- Unauthorised charge. A charge you did not authorise, reported within 14 days and confirmed after investigation.
- Service unavailability. A verifiable, prolonged outage of core paid features caused by us and not resolved within a reasonable time.
- Mandatory local law. Where local consumer-protection law (for example the EU/UK statutory right of withdrawal for digital services that have not yet been used) requires a refund.
Refund requests must be sent to hello@mailcrypted.com within 14 days of the charge, include the account email and the charge details, and describe the reason. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
4. EU/UK consumers — statutory withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a digital service. By subscribing and starting to use paid features (for example, initiating your first tester contact) you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed. If you have not yet used any paid feature within the 14-day period, you can request a refund by writing to us.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks based on refund requests that do not fall within the exceptions above may result in immediate suspension of your account and a service-recovery fee.
6. Free trials
Where offered, free trials are provided at our discretion, may be discontinued at any time, and are not exchangeable for cash or credit.
